The Odd Ones Out
Odd One Out is an international team of misfits. We’re based in London, with our fingers constantly on the city’s rapid pulse, while keeping our eyes peeled for ways to explore the rest of the UK. Welcome to our magazine – it’s great to have you here!
EDITOR
As a proud Mancunian, moving down to London was an eye-opening experience. Harry Merrell once felt like an odd one out in the Big Smoke but now feels at home. His main interests are Weird Sports he can throw himself into, or crate digging in London’s record stores. In his spare time, you can find him hosting events across Southeast London, finding the next best odd one out.
PRODUCTION EDITOR
Hailing from sunnier South Africa, Luke regularly feels like an odd one out, spending the London winter shivering in inadequate clothes. His interests lie in exploring alternative subcultures and writing about recent trends: weird, wacky, or otherwise. In his spare time you can find him poorly attempting parkour or scouring the web for something exciting to write about.
WEBSITE DESIGNER & SUB-EDITOR
After living in Rome for most of her life, Ilenia started a new adventure as an odd one out here in London. She’s stepped on the dance floor dancing bachata to meet new people and found her own community. If she’s not exploring the most niche food stalls around the city, you’ll find her wandering around the West End in search of the next show to obsess over.
CHIEF SUB-EDITOR & PODCAST EDITOR
A native Texan, Saskia Henn bounced around the globe in the past decade before calling London her home. She likes gardening, playing guitar and training four-legged friends, but her favourite activity is playing tourist and finding the most off-the-beaten-path places to write about (especially if there’s food involved).
SOCIAL MEDIA EDITOR
