Scenic workshop assistant 

Royal Opera House | Essex

The role is an opportunity to work at the Bob and Tamar Manoukian production workshop where scenery for the Royal Opera and Royal Ballet companies and the Birmingham Royal Ballet is made. The assistant will see to the workshops areas being maintained daily. The role requires a basically knowledge of workshop machinery and a driving license.


Paintshop assistant 

Birmingham Repertory Theatre | Birmingham

Deadline: 3 July 2023

The paintshop assistant will work with the head scenic artist to ensure the designer’s brief has been met and the finishes on all scenic items are to a high standard. The role requires practical experience and understanding of paint and texture techniques.


Assistant voice coach 

National Theatre | London

Deadline: 10 July 2023

Voice coaches at the National Theatre work with actors from the first day of rehearsal until the last night of the run. This assistant role is a training position suitable for a voice coach in the beginning of their career that has some experience. An MA/MFA in voice studies or equivalent is essential.


Lighting technician 

Underbelly at Edinburgh Fringe | Scotland

Deadline: 21 July 2023

During Edinburgh Fringe Festival (24 July – 30 August 2023) lighting technicians will be responsible for the installation and removal of lighting equipment in performance venues as well programming and operating shows. The role requires lighting programming experience, ideally on Avolites or ETC desks.


Company stage manager

Shakespeare North Playhouse | Prescot

Deadline: 15 October 2023

The Company Stage Manager (CSM) leads the stage management department and is responsible for the welfare of the acting company. The CSM works with the production manager to ensure the theatre’s programme of production runs smoothly. Three years of experience in stage managing a production of the same scale is required.
