The famous Madrid hotel where Taylor Swift and the ‘jet set’ stay

,

In just two months it will be a year since Taylor Swift stayed at the luxurious Rosewood Villa Magna, one of Madrid’s most exclusive hotels. The singer, who once again broke all records and solidified her position as the world’s top-selling artist in 2024, left her mark at this prestigious hotel. Known for hosting major celebrities like Tom Cruise, Hugh Grant, and Madonna, this five-star hotel, which opened in 2021, has quickly established itself as a place of modernity, tradition, and elegance, whilst maintaining a comfortable setting.

How Did the Rosewood Villa Magna Come to Be?

Before it was transformed into the luxurious Rosewood Villa Magna, the building housed several important institutions, including the Palacio de Anglada, Banco Hipotecario, and Palacio de Larios. The renovation, carried out by the Ramón de Arana studio, preserved much of the building’s historical character, whilst simultaneously introducing elements of modern design. The exterior boasts beautifully landscaped gardens designed by Gregorio Marañón, with ponds and grand staircases leading to the entrance, setting the tone for the opulence inside.

What Makes the Signature Suites Unique?

For guests seeking unparalleled privacy and luxury, the hotel offers two Signature Suites: Salamanca House and Anglada House. Located on the ninth floor, these suites provide sweeping views of the city, large living areas, private terraces, and top-tier amenities like dressing rooms and full-service kitchens. These exclusive rooms are only available to those willing to pay a premium, with prices for the Royal Anglada House reported to be as high as €25,000 per night. The inclusion of private outdoor terraces, the only ones in the entire hotel, adds an extra layer of exclusivity.

Why Is the Brunch So Famous?

Another highlight of the Rosewood Villa Magna is its Sunday brunch at Las Brasas de Castellana. This indulgent offering blends the best of Spanish and international cuisine, featuring stations serving Italian, Asian, and healthy food, as well as fresh seafood and eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. For those with a sweet tooth, the brunch includes artisan desserts from acclaimed pastry chef Emanuel Alvés, along with a selection of ice creams. The brunch, priced at €120 per person (€145 with wine pairings), is accompanied by live music—adding another layer to the luxurious atmosphere.

What Does the Sense Spa Offer?

After brunch, guests can unwind at the hotel’s Sense spa, a serene retreat designed to help visitors forget the hustle and bustle of Madrid. The spa, available to both hotel guests and outside visitors, offers a range of relaxing treatments, including a Hammam room. Made from marble sourced from Turkey, and inspired by Moroccan bathing rituals, the Hammam is a highlight of the spa’s offerings. Other amenities include modern jacuzzis, sensory showers, and a Finnish sauna. Guests can also indulge in private massages and body treatments using indigenous ingredients from the region.
