Dry was formed in 2022 as a response to the UK’s domineering drinking culture among millennials and Gen Z.
We can’t help but feel that many young people in this country don’t quite know how to enjoy themselves without alcohol, or simply have no idea how to give sobriety a go. So, Dry is here to remind you there are alternatives to hedonism, and they’re not all dull and righteous, we promise!

Erin is a 24-year-old from sunny Manchester, England’s very own Mallorca. She is partial to a glass of ice cold Fanta and enjoys listening to albums non-stop until she hates every single song on them.

Cerys is a 22-year-old who lives just down the road from Dry HQ, in Wimbledon. She likes a Pepsi but not when she is partaking in her favourite sober activity, riding on wild rollercoasters.

Sophie is a 23-year-old from the home of the Yorkshire pudding. She thoroughly enjoys a round of karaoke or a horror movie. A can of Dr Pepper would be her non-alcoholic drink of choice.
Digital editor and podcast host: Joe Coughlan (he/him)
Joe is a 23-year-old from Dublin, Ireland, although London has always been his second home. You can usually find him at the front row of a gig, starting mosh pits. When having a night in, he will be sipping a bottle of pineapple juice with an episode of Real Housewives on in the background.

Charlotte is a 22-year-old from Bromley, Kent, but she will tell you she lives in London. She loves playing video games and eating bottomless burgers. Her drink of choice is a refreshing, alcohol-free Kopparberg Strawberry & Lime.

Natalie is a 22-year-old who lives in throwing distance of the Queen, in Berkshire. Her favourite drink is an Orange and Passionfruit J2O, unless she is at the cinema, and then she might splash out on a Tango Ice Blast.

Joe is a 23-year-old who hails from Melbourne, Australia – Sydney’s more attractive and less sunburnt cousin. He supposes he likes running, but only because it makes him feel less guilty when he drinks. His non-alcoholic pick would be an Arnold Palmer (apparently that’s ice tea and lemonade).
