Yive Oddly
Crowned winner of RuPauls drag race season 11 Yvie Oddly is undoubtfully the most unconventional and bizarre queen to have ever come of the successful series. Yvie explores the power of transformative drag by making charity shop finds wearable art, often referencing the New York Club Kids scene of colourful and wacky costumes. The Club Kids were a group of young dance club based in New York that became popular in the late 1980s. The group is most known for their flamboyant behaviour, outrageously artistic costumes and their fashion-conscious youth culture.
Whilst glamour and pageantry is not Yvie’s strong point she does make up for it’s creativity and texture, bringing her creations to the next level through her use of make-up and over-the-top accessories. Her drag is defiantly Oddly and rough around the edges which shows her love for rawness.
