About us

BRACE YOURSELVES BECAUSE WE HAVE ARRIVED!

Welcome to GiGi Magazine, an online publication exclusively dedicated to the flamboyant world that is drag. Here, we aim to explore, learn and represent the diversity, beauty, history, lifestyle and culture, (Oh! Did we forget to mention THE gossip?) and extraordinariness this phenomenon has to offer.

You’re thinking, more learning? What a drag, right? (Pun intended) Oh but HONEEEY, this is not your usual basic type of content. This is the popping purple eye makeup of a finale faceoff, this is the crème de la crème of what you’re used to, this is the lip-sync of your legacy.

Prepare yourself, from hat to tail, from wig to stiletto, because we’re goin’ in for the ultimate experience of all things drag.

Welcome to the GiGi family! 💋

Meet the team!

Editor & website curator, Tasha Hardwicke-Hunter

“It was the huge gap in the market that I saw, with little to no magazines catering for drag kings and queens. It’s an amazing culture to celebrate, and with GiGi magazine, we’re your one stop shop for everything drag.”

Managing editor, Chantelle Lewis

“GiGi magazine is a space shaped by a community and their share of stories, beauty hacks and the latest Netflix binge. Here, we encourage every individual to be their truest self, regardless of their form. May that be a King, queen or even your average Joe, embrace it. As long as you’re you.” @chantellelewis_

Co-social media editor, Olivia Miraglia Mello

“When I was first introduced to drag culture, I immediately fell in love with its creativity, its art, and the movement behind it. Passionate about storytelling and an eye for social media marketing, I’m excited to be a part of an all things drag magazine.” @oliviaa_mm

Co-social media editor, Joana Ndoka

“This magazine touches on the support and celebration of the incredible and lively art that is drag. We even acknowledge those unapologetic bitches who never fail to entertain us. My passion for telling my sisters’ stories is what drives me and keeps me on my toes. I am GiGis’ co-social media editor, and I wouldn’t want to be anybody else.” @ndoka.joana

Sub Editor, Gemma A Romain

“Rest assured, anything you take from this magazine is fact-checked. While it may be written in the name of the role, I’m inquisitive and nit-picky by nature, so for any questions concerning GiGis’ content or any further, I’m your go-to.” For any further enquiries please contact gigimagazine2020@gmail.com.

Digital Editor, Nuruz Uddin

“GiGi is a place in which I can thrive and let my thoughts prance outside the box. As GiGi’s Digital editor, I strive to make this magazine a space with a heartfelt family sensation, in which no one is left behind. Alongside my fabulous team members, GiGi is where I want to be.”
