Hi, I’m Katyayani! I’m from Bangalore, India. My hobbies include curling up in bed with a crochet project and reading books with strange names. I have always been curious about people, through inspirational stories, humanitarian crises, true crime, overhearing (*cough* eavesdropping) strangers on the tube or asking new friends uncomfortable questions. My hope is to infuse this fascination into every genre of news I dabble in by broadcasting the stories of various kinds of people in bold and bringing us all closer to one another in the process.

Hey, I’m Cerys! I’m French and British, but generally feel at home anywhere where the vibes are good and the food flavourful. Before studying at Goldsmiths I took a few years to travel around the world and write about it, so generally I focus on travel stories, as well as food, culture and human interest features. It’s the weird and wonderful people that make up our global society that really fascinate me. When I’m not travelling or writing, I spend my time socialising, attending church, illustrating, playing my ukulele, and occasionally going to raves. I’m currently obsessed with Bollywood and Balkan electronic music. I am constantly changing my hairstyle and I absolutely adore fresh pastries.

Hi, my name is Alina and I’m from Italy. Before I started my studies at Goldsmiths, I lived in Rome. I love travelling and discovering new cultures and now enjoy writing about them. I am also particularly interested in the marketing and journalistic aspect of fashion, especially in relation to social media. I hope to one day work in one of these areas.

Hi, I’m Jiayi Hu (Josie), a Chinese Media and Communications student at Goldsmiths University. I enjoy perceiving everything in life and presenting it through writing and photography, and am particularly interested in fashion and psychology. In my spare time, I like to try bungee jumping, skateboarding and dream of skydiving one day. Therefore, I always insist that my life has no limits.

Hi, my name is Zidong (Simba) Li, I am from China, and my hometown is Jining, the birthplace of Chinese Confucian culture. The area I usually like to focus on as a journalist is fashion. Because my aunt is a fashion designer, I often go to Milan Fashion week. I also like to read Harper’s Bazaar to learn about current trends. I also have a unique hobby for luxury goods and like to learn about their history, most famous designs and most representative colours. I chose Goldsmiths because there are many art exhibitions in London which can improve my aesthetic appreciation of art and help me manage my own life. I always believe fashion is a tool that can improve the happiness of our lives.

Hi! I’m Chloe and I’m Filipino but I was born and raised in Britain. After moving to London for university, my passion for media and writing has grown so much. I love to write articles about many different topics, but I especially love to write and report on video games, films, fashion and lifestyle. I’m also really enthusiastic about sustainable fashion and in my free time, I usually sew, mend and upcycle secondhand clothes. When I’m not sewing, my all-time favourite thing to do is immerse myself in anything related to horror – books, films, documentaries, etc.

I’m Audrey! I grew up in Brighton but now live in Peckham. I enjoy writing about culture and internet phenomena, often focusing on women’s stories and voices. Heavily influenced by journalists such as Chloe Laws and Biz Sherbet, I like to draw inspiration from the remarkable women around me, and explore how the ever-changing world we inhabit shapes our identities. I am a dabbler in everything creative and have a passion for all things bright colourful and kitsch. When I’m not writing you can find me charity shopping, watching films, drawing, raving, or getting a pint. I also run a zine which you can find at @tigerzines on instagram.

Heya, I’m Anya. I’m British and Czech and have lived in England all my life. I’m a passionate writer and storyteller, and I frequently find catharsis in poetry writing (@anyas.poetry on Instagram!). When I’m not moving myself with my own pieces, I dabble in any form of writing that questions the online world. The digital is the new realm that we exist in, and its impact and influence are something I find infinitely interesting. The articles I’ve written for ET CETERA reflect my allurement to human interaction online, how it manifests and what it results in. I thrive in how complex the internet is and will continue to grow to be. Besides writing, I adore reading, painting, ballet, growing plants, and cats (specifically mine).

Hi! My name is Beilin (Gloria) Feng. I’m from Shanghai, China. I have a passion for travelling and dancing, both of which bring me immense joy and inspiration. Beyond that, I’m also deeply interested in delving into thought-provoking topics related to life and philosophy. Writing about these subjects allows me to reflect on my own experiences and share insights with others. Additionally, I have a keen interest in the realms of fashion and beauty. The creativity and self-expression found in fashion design and makeup artistry fascinate me.

Hi I’m Anja, I grew up in Essex with family in every other continent, and spent my summers down south in France, it became my second home. I discovered my love for reading, writing and adventuring in different places of the world. Most of my life I have spent in sport or surrounded by sport, competing in flat water kayaking, different combat sports, and dabbling in weight lifting. Outside of sport, I often felt lost and that’s where I found my love for writing, to be able to turn someone’s emotions into words it’s a pretty special concept, one I hope that makes you think!

My writing style is lifestyle oriented and l often share posts on social media platforms about travelling and my daily outfit which is dependent on where l go, my mood and the season.
