7) THE WIG
Now, it doesn’t matter how long your hair is. You’re going to want a wig. Wigs are just that extra yet critical element that makes a queen who she is. What colours and which hairstyles do you like? Volume? Curls? Wavy beach hair? Which ones make you feel confident? Which ones give you the sensation of being a real WOMAN? (Shout out to Ivy Lickens!) If you’re lost and can’t decide, why not try the timeless mermaid look? Surely your sister still has that red wig from when she dressed up as Ariel for carnival 5 years ago, stuffed away, somewhere in her closet.
There are also apps available, such as ModiFace or Hairstyle Magic Mirror, which you can download for free and try different hairstyles before taking a trip to your local perruquiers. Once you’ve decided on the wig, make sure you can read the instructions on how to care for it and double-check you get the right size. Wigs have different cap sizes – you don’t want it to go flying!
