What is your favourite vintage piece?
A pair of white, high waisted Versace jeans.
Where and when did you buy them?
I was studying in Scotland and had come down to London for the weekend. I was in Shoreditch shopping and went into a little pop-up in BoxPark. I saw the jeans and tried them on and they fit perfectly (very difficult with jeans at the best of times). They were slightly out of my budget so I went for a coffee then came back and treated myself.
What made the jeans catch your attention?
They’re high waisted and just fit really well.
Why do you like them so much?
I think they make my bum look good!
How often do you wear them?
I will wear them once every two weeks – pretty often, but I just try not to spill anything down myself.
How do they make you feel when you wear them?
I feel pretty confident, comfortable and happy when I wear them.
How much did they cost?
It was around £50 but they’re great quality (designer) and have lasted for five years so far… fingers crossed they hold up even longer.
Can you describe a day when you wore this item that you remember fondly?
I wore them on the first hot day of the 2018 summer heatwave – we met friends in the park, then went on to a night out. It was a great day. That’s actually where the picture is from.
