A place that leads somewhere, such as a corridor or doorway, is called a liminal space. Liminal is a concept originally used in cultural anthropology to explain the rite of passage, concept of a boundary that separates the space from the gap between the room and the room.

Liminal space can be interpreted as a space that not only acts as a ‘threshold’ but also as a space that evokes the emotions felt when passing the threshold. If the absence of human activity occurs in such a space, we feel a sense of disjunction and fear. It cannot be a familiar space anymore. It is another experience and perspective that occurs in a familiar space.

In this photo essay, I drew on a variety of emotions in these liminal spaces, from the feelings I felt on a dark evening on Sunday before the start of the week to the feelings I felt while living alone in another land without friends and family. I hope that the anxiety I feel at the end of Sunday and my college life, and the anticipation of another new start, I wanted to imply our thinking framework through the window and arch as if we could see the world across from us through the window and arch. I hope that mixture of my feelings will be conveyed to you.
